Fire Breaks Out in Ashdod Chemical Plant

Ashdod: A major fire has broken out at a chemical plant in the northern industrial zone of the city of Ashdod. The Fire Department is having a hard time reaching the area. Residents in the area are asked to close and seal their windows and stay indoors, as there are hazardous materials in the fire.

Update: The fire is now under control. There are 9 people injured, 2 are in serious condition, authorities are not saying much about what the cause of the fire is, but authorities do confirm that the fire was not caused by a rocket.

It appears the fire was caused by an electrical short.
