Water in New Square Contaminated - Residents Asked to Boil Water

New Square, New York: The Rockland County Health Department has issued a boil water order for New Square and the surrounding areas. The boil water order went into effect today for the village of New Square after a contractor's misstep caused officials to temporarily shut off water to some homes. The water was turned back on, and everyone is asked to boil their tap water before they use it, it should be boiled and then kept at a rolling boil for at least one minute. The order will likely be in place until Monday after Shabbos.
