Updates from the Hostage Situation in the Chabad House in India
started Sandra Samuel, a cook in the Chabad House heard a baby cry
outside of her room, she grabbed the 2 year old son of the Chabad
Shliach and ran out of the building, saving themselves.
Update - 8:15AM: The boy, Moshe Holtzberg son of Reb Gavriel Noach is
unharmed B"H, Samuel the cook, another worker and the boy are the only
ones who escaped. She describes that she saw four people lying on the
floor, apparently unconscious, 8 Israelis, including the Rabbi and his
wife inside.
Update - 8:20AM: The Israeli rescue service ZAKA has been dispatched
with a team to Mumbai, they are expected to arrive within a few hours,
and are hoping for the best.
Update - 8:30AM: A terrorist from inside the Chabad house called a
local TV station, offering to negotiate, and release the hostages.
Update - 8:40AM: The National Service Guards are ready to storm the
building which houses the Mumbai Chabad House, please say Tehillem and
give Tzedaka.
Update - 9:15AM: Commandos apparently decided to hold off from an
assault on the Nariman house, which is the building of the Chabad
house.
Update - 9:20AM: There has been no contact with the 2 Kashrus
Mashgichim in Mumbai, Aryeh Leibish the Volova Rav's son. Be Mispallel
for Aryeh Leibish Ben Alte Nechame Malke.
Update - 9:30AM: Hundreds of people are now saying Tehillim in the
Toldos Avrum Yitzchok Beis Medresh, in Yerushalayim, after their
Rebbe's Eidim, the Volover Rav's son is missing in India.
Update - 9:50AM: A Yom Tefilah was called for this afternoon in
Flatbush, a Drasha by Rav Avrohom Schorr Shlita in his shul, at
12:30PM, because of the horrors in India.
Update - 10:30AM: The army general in India says there are at least 10
to 12 gunmen still inside the two Mumbai hotels and in the Jewish
center.
Update - 10:45AM: Please continue to say Tehilim for Aryeh Libesh ben
Alta Nechama Malchi Teitelbaum and Bentzion ben Elka Kronman /
Chroman, both Mashgichim, and who are possible hostages.
