UPDATED - Armed Burglar on The Loose in Miami Beach
Miami Beach, Florida - 8:30PM: Police have locked down an area of Miami Beach from Chase Avenue down 40th Street until Prarie Avenue and up until 37th Street. Police are on the lookout for an armed male. The area included a lot of frum people and Shuls. The Miami Beach Community Kollel is located just past the police barrier, Yungerleit trying to get to night seder are learning on the street corner instead. The Lakewood Rosh Yeshiva and the Mashgiach are in Miami for Shabbos and were also stopped from going to the Kollel.
Thursday night is a busy night at Kastner's grocery, alot of Yidden are just standing outside and watching.
Meanwhile, K-9 units, SWAT, and an Aviation chopper have joined the search. The police helicopter continues to circle.
Update - 11:00PM: The perpatrator was caught after almost 3 hours of complete lockdown.
