NYPD Searching For Stolen Sefer Torah
Crown Heights - 1:00PM: At Union Avenue and Utica Avenue the NYPD and Crown Heights are setting up a level 1 mobilization. They are looking for a black four door Sedan with plate number #DRV9683. The suspects are wanted for stealing a Sefer Torah from a parked car.
The Sefer Torah was left in the vehicle overnight. The Sefer Torah was used on the road doing Chabad Kiruv work, for a mobile Chabad House or a Mitzvah Tank. The Sefer Torah is valued at over $40,000. The theft took place sometime from 11:00PM on Sunday night.
