Lakewood Freezer Opens
Lakewood, New Jersey: This past Shabbos, the ceiling and walls of BMG, Lakewood Yeshiva, were shaking during Kidush Hachodesh due to the fact that that Tu B'Shvat is coming up and the freezer for all new Bocherim that came in Elul will be opening.
That was just a little joke, but:
The BMG/Lakewood Yeshiva's freezer has opened. ("The Freezer" is the nickname used for the Tnei made by Bocherim on entrance to BMG not to date or get married for at least six months, so that the new Bocherim learn, and don't just use BMG as a name)
Approximately three hundred new Bocherim came to Lakewood this past Elul Zman and after 6 months of learning in BMG - the Shidduch scene has begun.
*The Batei Medroshim will start to become more quiet at night Seder.
*Cars will be borrowed.
*Advice will be asked.
*Chasanos every night, dates in Brooklyn, Bocherim coming back late to the Irv and the Dorms, Late Shachris, Etc.
Usually over 100 Bocherim get married within the first month. Elul Zman to Shvat - 6 months. The freezer is now opened.
