Manchester, England: A man of Middle Eastern appearance parked his car outside the Satmar Shul on Northumberland Street, in Salford, and burst into the Shul, shouting "I am Abraham" and the word "Jews". Congregants started to flee, fearing the worst. The Shul's gabbai, Yoel Freidman said "When he shouted 'Jews', everybody started panicking." The guy was screaming and shouting in a language they did not recognize. There were 50 Chassidim davening mincha inside, and after he ran out, we all followed him. The man had left his keys in his car and someone took them out, so he could not drive off. A member of the Shul had already called the police and a few Chassidim followed the man down Northumberland Street. London-born Mr Freidman, of Salford, said: "The police arrived very quickly and arrested him. "After what happened in India with the terrorist attacks and the killings of Jews there, everybody here is very cautious." The intruder was arrested under the Mental Health Act. His car was checked by police for explosives.
