Talmudic University of Florida Receives Final Approval to Move to Their New Campus

Miami Beach, Florida: After numerous inspections and meetings Talmudic University of South Florida has passed all inspections and have been given the go-ahead to move in to there new building. Talmudic University, a Yeshiva located in Miami Beach, where Rav Yochanan Zweig is the Rosh Yeshiva, bought a hotel building located on Alton Road at the corner of Arthur Godfrey Road (41st Street). The hotel (The Howard Johnson and Biscaya Hotel at different points) is an 8 floors, totally renovated building, with 2 nearby trailers to serve as Batei Medroshim. Renovations were completed by Elul this year, but FPL and the building department did not approve the building, to receive a Certificate of Occupancy. Meanwhile, bocherim stayed in the old dormitories, and commuted to the hotel's trailers for the sedorim. The high school meanwhile used the 1910 Alton Road Talmudic Building.

For the past months inspectors kept denying the permit to move in, citing problems. Yesterday, new inspections took place, leaving very little left to do, and today they have completely passed the inspection and the move will be completed any day.
