Child Missing in Lakewood
Lakewood, New Jersey: A major search is now on for a ten year old boy, Shimon Fisgus, that has been missing since 9:00AM this morning. The Child went to yeshiva at 9:00AM, and was seen biking on Kennedy Boulevard, then was not seen again since. Chavarim, police, Lakewood Civilian Patrol and Hatzolah are assisting in the search. The boy was last seen 9AM at Kennedy Boulevard and Somerset Avenue. He was riding a red bike with the words "Dr. Pepper" written on it.
The boy, who lives in Brook Hill Estates, is a student of Yeshiva Tiferes Torah elementary school. He left his home at about 9:00AM, and hours later, it was realized that he had never showed up to school.
Update - 7:55PM: Police have found someone, they are not sure if it is him, they are bringing him home.
Update - 8:05PM: After 11 hours missing, the child has been found, Baruch Hashem. The boy was discovered at the local branch of the Ocean County public library and reunited with his parents. It is not yet known if he had simply played "hooky" for the day, or if he had met with some sort of more sinister third-party interference.
