Barkat Offers Chareidim Deputy Mayor Position

Eretz Yisroel: Mayor-elect Nir Barkat met with Chareidi representatives this week. He met with Meir Porush, Yosef Lock and Shlomo Rosenstein from Agudah. He also met Yitzchak Pindrus, Eli Neiman and Shlomo Malek from Degel. Barkat is continuing efforts to include Chareidim in the Yerushalayim ruling coalition. These are the members of the coalition negotiating team representing chareidi interests. Barkat is offering Chareidim one deputy mayor spot on the coalition.
